We often hear that money can't buy happiness, but there are moments when I wish it could buy the things that truly matter. While wealth can provide comfort and luxury, some priceless things remain out of reach. Here are five things I wish money could buy:
1. Being Healthy (Not Only Physically)
When we were young, it was all about fun, play, and exploration. Until accountability is lost in the picture as we grow then we suffer. Health is more than just the absence of illness; it’s about mental, emotional, and spiritual balance too.
Imagine if money could buy resilience, inner peace, and a sound mind—how different life would be.
2. The Right Words to Say (Not Only to Others but to Myself)
We’ve all been in situations where we wish we had the perfect words to express ourselves. I wish money could buy the wisdom to convey our feelings to others, and most especially, to ourselves. The right words can be powerful. Like a balm that soothes the soul.
3. The Luxury of Time for a Peaceful Coffee
Time is the one currency some of us wish we had more of. In the busyness of life, how often do we crave just a few extra minutes to sip a cup of coffee in peace? If only money could buy time so we could pause, breathe, and enjoy the small, simple pleasures that make life more meaningful.
4. Elimination of Unfairness
The world can be an unfair place, where justice doesn’t always prevail, and inequality thrives. I imagine a world where every person’s worth is recognized and respected.
I wish for a world where our hard work is being paid off and where everyone is treated with dignity.
5. A Genuine Sense of Fulfillment
After buying that necklace, we want to have a ring to pair it with. After being promoted to manager, we aim to be a supervisor. We immediately chase after the next big thing, believing it will make us happy, only to find it leaves us wanting more. If only money could buy genuine contentment—the kind that comes from within, from knowing that you are enough, that your life has a purpose, and that you are truly at peace with yourself.
In approaching life, we realize that while money has its perks, the most valuable things in life can't be bought.
They require time, effort, and a lot of heart. It’s these intangible things that make life rich and worth living.
