Daily Devotion: His response to the lost

Thoughtful Starter:
Start today’s devotion by listening to any Christian song on your playlist.

Today’s Scripture Reading:  Jeremiah 3:22
“My wayward children,” says the Lord, “come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts”.
daily devotion

“...come home to me again, for I am merciful. I will not be angry with you forever.”

“...Return home, you wayward children,” says the Lord.

“...I looked forward to you calling me ‘Father’ and I wanted you never to turn from me.”

These are the words of our Father in this chapter alone in the book of Jeremiah, all revolving around the theme of love.

In this chapter, He keeps on telling us to return to Him when we’re lost.

To go back to Him because He will not be angry with us forever.

That we have a home in Him that we can always return to.

This is how our Father loves us. We commit sins, but when we repent, even before we utter the word “sorry”, He already forgave us.

So never doubt if He wants you to come back to Him.

He does, He always will.

Pure love.

There’s no condition, there’s no reason.

There’s nothing to understand, it’s just how His grace and mercy work.

And He gives it to us both now and forever.

If that is not love, I don’t know what it is.

Today’s Reflection Question:
When was the last time that you said “sorry” to God?

Today’s Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for not giving up on us, for always welcoming us whenever we lost our ways, and for your pure love. May we serve as a vessel of that love in our lives. Amen.
