Daily Devotion: Humbled Bravery

***October 1, 2024 ***

Thoughtful Starter:
What silence battles have you overcome in the previous months?

Today’s Scripture Reading: Isaiah 33: 2
“But Lord, be merciful to us, for we have waited for you.
Be our strong arm each day and our salvation in times of trouble.”

daily devotion

What a perfect verse to welcome this new month! Asking for His providence as we bid our farewell to the previous months. The past events may not be what we wanted or planned, but here we are, standing, persevering and never giving up.

The author Robert Greene wrote, “The real purpose of the backward glancing eye is to educate yourself consistently”. As we look back, we notice that we have not just overcome our battles, it has molded us into a better version of ourselves.

We leave the past while we take the lessons to face our present.

As we become wiser in this life, we also become more humble than ever before. Life will always humble us especially when we don’t walk with Him in our paths.

May we link our arms to Him every day as we journey in this life.

Today’s Reflection Question:
What accomplishments have you celebrated (even silently) in the past month?

Today’s Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help us to remember that we haven’t been alone in our lives and you’re with us to welcome this month. Amen.
