Thoughtful Starter:
What is your favorite book in the Bible?
Today's Scripture Reading: Hebrews 5:12
"For the word of God is alive and powerful. It it sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires."
Do you have a favorite verse? The one that you memorize by heart? Whenever I lose hope to almost everything, I always go back to Psalm 121:1-2- "I look up to the mountains, does my help comes from there? My help comes from the Lord who created heaven and the earth".
Pick a verse that really speaks to you and memorize it. As you repeat these words in your head, observe how you feel in every repetition.
At first, you may feel unsure about the verse. That's normal. You can read it.
Secondly, you're starting to understand the message of the verse.
Lastly, the words become easier to state, and the message suddenly has a deeper meaning in your life.
Repeat it as much as you want.
With practice and repetition, the verse becomes more than words.
It becomes a way to find calmness and peace that comes only from His words.
In times that we're overwhelmed by life's journey and in need of guidance, we can always go back to "our verse" and let it speak for us. I, for sure, am speechless sometimes and instead of worrying, I always go back to my verse for Him. Try this and feel the transformation within.
