Scripture Reading
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
- 2 Corinthians 5:17
Once known as Saul, a fierce persecutor of Christians, to Paul, a devoted apostle of Christ, his life can be describe in this word: transformational. After the encounter he had with Christ on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-19) then calling him to a new mission, this transformation began.
In 2 Corinthians 11:23-28, it states there that he faced numerous hardships, including imprisonment, beatings, and shipwrecks. But he chose not to give up and used these challenges to strengthen His faith. His letters to the early churches, found in the New Testament, continue to inspire and guide us today.
He gave encouragement in the midst of his imprisonment.
Paul's story reminds us that God has no favorites and his grace is for everyone. His transformation from a persecutor to a preacher highlights the power of God's forgiveness.
There is a potential change for all of us if we allow Him to transform us.
Regardless of our past, God knows what we went through. He has been there. When you were busy crying, doubting, cursing and even forgetting Him, He has been there.
And He has a better plan for our lives, if we let Him work within us.
