Thoughtful Question To Start: Why do you think it's hard for us to surrender and lay down our pride?
Scripture Reading: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
Goals, priorities, plans, dreams and others, sound familiar?
These are the words that mostly represent what we want to achieve in our lives. It even becomes our compass to what do every day. We do this task so we can reach our goal. We follow this path so we can achieve our dreams. Then when everything falls apart, we are at a loss. We find it hard to move on and take a step forward.
Trusting in God's plan requires a wholehearted commitment to letting go of our desires and leaning completely on Him. This can be challenging, especially when things don't go as we expected. Life often presents us with situations that we don't understand and it's in these moments that we must choose to trust God's infinite wisdom and goodness. As the Christian writer, Corrie ten Boom said, "Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God".
Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and not rely on our understanding. When we submit our ways to Him, He promises to make our paths straight. This means aligning our decisions and actions with His will, even when we can't see the bigger picture in most times. Trusting God's plan involves daily surrender and choosing faith over fear.
Reflect on your life and consider areas where you struggle to trust God's plan. Are there circumstances you need to surrender to Him? Remember, God's understanding surpasses ours, and His plans are always for our good. By trusting in Him and submitting to His guidance, we can experience peace and assurance in every step we take.
