Scripture Reading:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
I once heard other people say, "you will never know that God is all you need, when God is all you have". If we look closely to our lives and the challenges that it has, we realize that He has been there. We can feel Him, especially when we surrender to Him. A daily devotion put into action.
Sometimes, we make choices according to our preference without consulting him then suffer the consequence in the end. This is a testament that true peace and guidance come from trusting in God's plan for our lives.
Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord wholeheartedly and to submit our ways to Him. This means letting go of our worries, our plans, and our understanding, and allowing God to take the lead.
Surrendering to God means actively choosing to trust Him in every aspect of our lives, seeking His will through prayer and scripture, and being willing to follow where He leads, even when the path is uncertain. It may be easier said than done, but just like His presence to us, may our faith also be a love in action, constantly.
Today's Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come to You today with a heart open to surrender. Help me to trust You with all my heart and to lean not on my own understanding. Guide my steps and make my paths straight. Thank You for Your faithfulness and love. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
