The Seventh Day: His answers

daily devotion

In a day, we always have things that we wish to happen, we have questions unanswered, and we have situations we hope to experience.

I’ve listed some of our sentiments here and look how He responds to us.

Us: “I’m tired. It’s like every day is the same.”

Him: “How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog-it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.”  (James 5:14)

Us: “He said, and she said, but they said…”

Him: “If you want to enjoy life and  see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies.” (1 Peter 3:10)

Us: “How can I help my friend when I can’t  even help myself?”

Him: “When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by your faith”. (Romans 1:12)

Us: “I’m lost, I’m exhausted. I don’t know what to do”.

“My wayward children,” says the Lord, “come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts.” (Jeremiah 3:22)

Us: Why? I thought he was the one for me.

“For just the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thought are higher than your thoughts”.  (Isaiah 55:9)

Us: Overtime again.

“It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to His loved ones.”(Psalm 127:2)

It’s really true to trust in Him and His ways and this is like a balm to life’s hardships.
But sometimes, life gets in the way and we take it harder than we’re supposed to be. In times of hardships, ask for His guidance. Go back to his words and His promises.

Our sentiments and prayers never go unheard. Talk to Him now. Tell Him your worries and secrets. He listens to us. Always.
